Heart Shaped Granola Protein Bites Recipe – Kid Friendly Things To Do .com

A Healthy Valentines Day Breakfast - or any day breakfast! Granola Bites!

My good friend, Jori, sent me this picture of her Valentines Day Breakfast as a healthy alternative to start the day! I must say, it looks absolutely delicious! Here’s the recipe for these easy granola bites!:

You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup of dried fruit
  • 1/2 cup of almonds
  • 1/2  cup of walnuts
  • 1/2 cup flax seed
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup of almond butter
  • 1/4 cup of Agave

Now:

  • A Healthy Valentines Day Breakfast - or any day breakfast! Granola Bites!
  • Grind the fruit, nuts, seed, and oats in a food processor
  • Transfer to a heat proof bowl
  • In a small sauce pan, over low/med heat, melt the butter
  • Add the Agave
  • Bring to a boil – stirring constantly
  • Pour the hot mixture over the dry mixture, and mix well
  • Transfer to a was paper lined 8×8 pan, and press down until compact
  • Pop in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes
  • Take out, and cut into bars, or use a cookie cutter to make these cute little heart shapes for your sweetie pie!
  • Store in an air tight container
