Cool Blue Gatorade Jello Fish Tank – Fun Food – Kid Friendly Things To Do .com

This idea would be cool in individual clear Solo Cups!!!! I love it!!!

I wish I had a tank, and lots of candy fish, octopus, lobsters, etc… Next time I go to the candy store, I am going to stock up, and make an epic aquarium dessert out of Cool Blue Gatorade! I’m thinking of a Pirate Birthday Party!!! Oh my gosh…A Pirates of the Caribbean party, or Ice Age  Continental Drift! Of course…I’ll have to invite the neighborhood over to eat all of the jello with us! đŸ˜‰

I really think this would be cool in individual fish bowls. I think little clear Solo Cups would do the trick! Here’s how I made the blue jello aquarium!:

You’ll Need – For one fish bowl – (Serves 8):

  • A small fish bowl
  • 4 packages of Knox Unflavored Gelatin
  • 1 32 oz. container of Cool Blue Gatorade
  • 2 T sugar
  • Gummy Fish

Now:

  • In a large heatproof bowl, pour 1 cup of cold Gatorade
  • Sprinkle the Unflavored gelatin packs over the Gatorade, and let stand for about 5 minutes
  • Meanwhile – In a medium to large saucepan, pour 3 cups of Gatorade, and set temperature on high
  • Bring to a low boil
  • Add the two Tablespoons of sugar, and stir to dissolve
  • Pour the hot mixture into the gelatin mixture, and mix together
  • Set that into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to cool down
  • Once cooled to about luke-warm pour into the fish bowl – or Solo Cups – whichever you have **If you use cups, the time the jello needs to set up will be cut considerably – so plan accordingly
  • Place fish bowl into the refrigerator until jello is partially set up – depending on your refrigerator’s temp. -about an hour to an hour and one-half
  • Push the gummy fish down into the bowl, and place bowl back into the refrigerator to set up completely
  • (for another 2 hours, to overnight)

  • Remove from refrigerator and serve when ready!
