Honestly, every time I see these turkeys, I picture them pleading with me not to eat them! They are so cute. I love their expressions! The kids will go crazy for these Fun Marshmallow Turkey Lollipops! Here’s how I made these guys:

You’ll Need:

  • Wilton Dark Chocolate Melts
  • Large glass microwave proof bowl
  • Large marshmallows
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Black Pearl Sprinkle – Wilton
  • Candy Corn
  • Brachs Jelly Candy – Candy Canes
  • Paint Brush
  • Toothpick
  • Wax paper lined flat surface – small enough to fit into the freezer

Now, onto the fun part:

  • Melt the chocolate according to the package directions

  • Turning the larger marshmallow on it’s side, insert the lollipop stick
  • Roll the marshmallow into the chocolate

  • I found that it is easier to build the face first.

  • Find the canes with the red tip, and cut them off with scissors
  • add a candy corn for the nose, and a red curved jelly candy piece for the waddle
  • Build the eyes by placing 2 mini marshmallows on top of the head, and using a toothpick…dot the center of the marshmallows, where the black pearls will go
  • This part takes a little patience, and a steady hand…carefully place the black pearl on the melted chocolate dots
  • Insert your turkeys into the freezer to set up – It takes about 3-5 minutes for the chocolate to harden

  • Once they are ready, take a paint brush, and dot 3 good sized mounds onto the back of the head

  • Place 2 candy corn pointed side on the chocolate
  • Hold the turkey while the chocolate sets enough to lay it back down
  • The frozen chocolate speeds up the drying process, so it should only take about 10 seconds to firm the mounds of chocolate for you
