If I stay up until midnight tonight, I might not have the energy to post, tomorrow! So..I thought I would share two posts today! This delicious appetizer – or light meal, uses pre-made thin crust pizza, and is simple to throw together. It’s perfect for tonight’s New Years celebration or any other holiday appetizer. Here’s the recipe:

You’ll Need:

  • 2 Round Thin crust pizza 
  • 1 Tblsp. of Olive Oil
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped red onion
  • 1 bundle of fresh asparagus
  • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. of ground mustard
  • 4 cloves of garlic – minced
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise

Now:

  • Pour the olive oil into a skillet, set on med/high heat
  • Flatbread White Pizza Wedges - great appetizer or light meal
  • Add the asparagus and continue to cook turning over occasionally until the onion has turned translucent and browned
  • Lightly salt the vegetables 
  • When those are cooked, turn the heat off and set aside
  • Flatbread White Pizza Wedges - great appetizer or light meal
  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the ground pepper, mustard, garlic, cheeses and mayonnaise
  • Flatbread White Pizza Wedges - great appetizer or light meal
  • Stir together, and spread over the pizza crust
  • Add the cooked vegetables
  • Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned
  • Flatbread White Pizza Wedges - great appetizer or light meal
  • Cut into wedges and enjoy!
