The Christmas House – A Kid Friendly Thing To Do Review

80,000 lights, animated Santas everywhere, rooms full of nutcrackers, Christmas villages, church choirs, the Grinch,  and windows of displays are all at one house, on Main Street, in Torrington, CT. The Christmas House! To a  child, this is a truly magical experience!

Wow! is the word you’ll utter, after you turn every corner outside this house. Walk under an archway of bells, and lights. Look at window displays. Listen to Santa snoring, after his long flight on Christmas Eve. Then, head inside to see Santa, after Santa, after Santa! You’ll walk upstairs to a room of Santas, and then across the upstairs with wall to wall Santas! They are everywhere! Some are Santas drinking Coca-Cola. Some Santas are checking their list, twice! There is a whole room devoted to nutcrackers! They are in all shapes and sizes. There is a display of a choir singing Christmas carols. A working village only adds to your excitement. Everything is displayed so carefully, for your enjoyment.  After you have finished your tour, head back downstairs, and outside to the Candy Land display. Follow the signs to the front of the house. Enjoy some free hot cocoa on your way back to your car! Of course, you’ll be walking under an archway of lights!

All free. Cash Donations Welcomed!

Our Experience:
I found The Christmas House, as I researched The Christmas Village. I couldn’t believe, I hadn’t heard of it before. Wow, 80,000 lights! I knew we had to  drive by this place! Then, to my surprise, there was a sign, saying – “more to see inside, come on in”. Intrigued, we parked directly across the street, and headed over. I’m so glad we added this to our night. It was a great way to end a perfectly, fun Christmas night! Merry Christmas!
