Mini Clothespin Butterfly

Spring crafts are so refreshing after a long winter inside. It’s time for some colorful crafts to brighten up the season, like making butterfly straws for a fun drink, making a fairy garden planter to start a little flower garden, and a handprint flower vase to put all of the flowers popping up outside.

This butterfly craft is a super-simple. There are very few supplies and it’s done in minutes.

Supplies Needed

  • Silk Flower pulled off of the stem- One with four petals.
  • A painted & (optional) glittery clothespin – I found little white glittery clothespins in the wedding aisle of a craft store.
  • Floral Sprays – These resemble butterfly antennae and are found in the wedding aisle of craft stores
  • Spray Adhesive
  • Optional – Self Adhesive Gems

Instructions

Bend a floral spray in a V shape so the antenna ends are at the top of the flower, and glue the V to the flower.

Place your clothespin on the flower, going between the four petals – 2 on each side – pinching it together so it forms a butterfly shape with the antenna sticking out of the top.

Extra Decoration

Add adhesive gems to the clothespin.

Spray glue onto the petals and sprinkle with extra fine glitter.
