Easy Mummy Craft for Halloween

Halloween crafts are my favorite holiday crafts. They are so much fun. With so many spooks, monsters, ghosts, witches, bats, and more fun characters to choose from the craft list goes on and one. I’ve got plenty posted here on the blog to share with you like this Mummy tape craft, DIY Halloween window clings, and pumpkins made from apple stamping.

Here’s what you’ll need to make these cute little mummy crafts

Supplies for Mummy Craft

  • Styrofoam balls – Any size will do. It would be fun to have a giant mummy, but I used small 2-inch styrofoam balls.
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue – I like to use Fabri-Tac – It grabs the material right away with a gel-like texture and dries super fast
  • Gauze – cut into long, narrow strips. You won’t need much for small styrofoam balls.

Equipment Needed

Scissors

Optional: red puffy paint

How to Make a Styrofoam Ball Mummy Craft

  • Cut a small portion of the styrofoam ball off the bottom to level it so it will stand up independently without wobbling.

  • Start wrapping the cheesecloth around the ball, careful not to cover the eyes.
  • *but be sure to get close enough so the cloth frames the eyes
  • Use glue as needed, and use glue to secure the end of the gauze
  • Optional: To add a bloody stitch across your mummy’s forehead, use red markers or puffy paint.
