How to make Mini Pinatas

  • Decorate the outside of your toilet paper tube by gluing cardstock around it, painting it, coloring it, gluing tissue paper pieces, etc…
  • We were doing Cinco De Mayo pinatas, so we used colorful Mexican flag colors and we kept it simple by cutting out cardstock and gluing it to the tube

How to make Mini Pinatas

  • Cut 2 circles out of the card stock or foam paper that will cover the openings in the tubes
  • Cut a little slit in one of the circles you’ve cut out
  • Push the yarn through the hole and tie a knot
  • Secure the knot with glue or a piece of tape between the knot and the paper

How to make Mini Pinatas

  • Cover the bottom of the toilet paper tube with the circle
  • The knotted part of the string should be on the inside of the tube with the longer end hanging out

How to make Mini Pinatas

  • Fill with prizes
  • Cut a piece of ribbon to hang the pinata from and glue the ends on either side of the pinata top
  • *For extra strength you can also push the ends of the strings through the tube and secure with a knot on the inside or add strong tape to the outside after you’ve glued them on
  • Put the other circle that you’ve cut out onto the top of the toilet paper tube
