A delicious traditional Italian dessert with a quick and easy twist.

Scale
  • 2 cups of brewed coffee – cooled
  • 1 large box of instant vanilla pudding (5.1 oz.)
  • 3 cups of cold milk
  • 6 oz. of cream cheese – softened
  • pound cake – cut and cubed, or if you are lucky enough to find them in your local grocer’s bakery – a package of ladyfingers – cut and cubed
  • 1 can of whipped topping
  • miniature chocolate chips
  • cocoa powder

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, soak the pound cake, or ladyfingers in the brewed coffee
  • While that soaks, in a large bowl mix the pudding mix, and milk
  • Let that sit to a soft-serve – about 5 minutes
  • Fold the cream cheese into the pudding mixture
  • Layer the trifle dishes with:
  1. Pound cake, or ladyfingers
  2. pudding
  3. whipped cream
  4. chocolate chips
  5. repeat
  6. top off with a sprinkle of cocoa powder
  • Cover, and refrigerate for 8 hours, or overnight

Notes
