It’s a great recipe for sandwiches.

Of course, I love to smear butter on warm bread. To me, there is nothing better than homemade bread – fresh out of the oven, with melted butter.

My kids, thankfully, feel the same way. They couldn’t wait for the bread to come out of the oven.

What can you add into a classic white bread recipe?

  • cheese
  • herbs
  • cinnamon
  • garlic
  • raisins
  • dried fruit and more!

How long should you knead bread?

  • If you are hand kneading bread, you should knead it for about 10 minutes. It should be elastic. Kneading until it is elastic, develops the gluten and the bread can rise properly

How do you know if white bread is done?

  • The crust should be golden
  • When you tap the bottom of the loaf, it will sound hollow inside
