Ginger & Lemon Marinade


  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of fresh pasley
  • 1/2 cup of fresh chives
  • 1&1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1 tsp. ginger powder
  • Olive Oil


  1. With the exception of the olive oil – blend everything together in a food processor, or blender
  2. Place meat into a container
  3. Depending on whether or not you are using more than one type of meat, either divide the marinade up into different containers, or place it all into one conainer
  4. Place your meat into the marinade
  5. Refrigerate with cover on for 2 hours or longer – turning occasionally
  6. Cut meat, or poultry. Leave shrimp intact, and skewer
  7. Grill making sure to brush the meat with olive oil occasionally
  8. Chicken should grill for about 10-12 minutes. Make sure the chicken is no longer pink in the middle
  9. Shrimp should require less time. It will turn white and pink or orange, and be firm to the touch (about 4-5 min.)
  10. Cook meat to desired doneness
