{Shortcut} Pumpkin Shaped Dinner Rolls

These pumpkin-shaped harvest rolls are perfect for fall. Use them at your harvest parties, all the way into Thanksgiving time. Not only are they beautiful, but the kids absolutely love them.

Pumpkin Shaped Dinner Rolls

These are so much fun they actually look just like little pumpkins and gourds.

They are not hard to make, at all.

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves of Bread Dough Frozen – I bought my dough in frozen loaves. I used white and wheat dough
  • 12 Slivered Almonds for the stem
  • 1 Egg White
  • 2 Tbsp. water

How do you make Pumpkin Dinner Rolls?

  • Follow the directions on the frozen bread dough package to thaw the dough, allowing it to rise in greased bowls
  • When the dough has thawed and risen, punch it down
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a couple of minutes. Let it rest for a few minutes
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  • Divide the dough by pulling off sections, and rolling them into balls
  • Place the dough balls onto a lightly greased baking sheet – placing dough balls a couple of inches apart
  • Flatten them into the shape of a disk
  • Take kitchen scissors, and cut slits all around the disks, about 1/2 inch apart 
  • Mix egg white and water
  • Brush each roll with the egg white mixture
  • Place a long slivered almond in the top center of the pumpkin disk
  • Put rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet
  • Bake for about 15 minutes
