{Shortcut} Pumpkin Shaped Dinner Rolls | Kid Friendly Things To Do

pumpkin shaped rolls

  • 2 Loaves of Frozen Bread Dough – I bought my dough in loaves. I used white, and wheat dough
  • Slivered Almonds – for the stem
  • 1 Egg White mixed with 2 T of water, and a basting brush

  • Follow the direction on the frozen bread dough package to thaw the dough, allowing it to rise in greased bowls
  • When the dough has thawed and risen, punch it down
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a couple of minutes. Let it rest for a few minutes
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  • Divide the dough by pulling off sections, and rolling them into balls
  • Place the dough balls onto a lightly greased baking sheet – placing dough balls a couple of inches apart
  • Flatten them into the shape of a disk
  • Take kitchen scissors, and cut slits all around the disks, about 1/2 inch apart
  • Brush each roll with the egg white mixture
  • Place a long slivered almond in the top center of the pumpkin disk
  • Put rolls on a parchment lined baking sheet
  • Bake for about 15 minutes
