Homemade Sweet Cornbread Muffins 

These Sweet Cornbread Muffins made with corn syrup are made even sweeter when served with honey. They are the perfect side to any homestyle or barbecue meal. Easy to make and always a family favorite.

Serve these cornbread muffins with your favorite BBQ, Ham, and Bean Soup, or as a sweet snack with butter and honey.

– yellow cornmeal – all-purpose flour – sugar – baking powder – salt – oil – milk  – egg  – light corn syrup


muffin tin (enough for 12 muffins) and spray oil 

Extra Equipment

Grease 12 muffin cavities and preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. 

In a medium mixing bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt  

In a large mixing bowl, mix the oil, milk, egg, and syrup

Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well 

Pour batter into greased muffin tins 

Bake at 425 degrees F. for 25-20 minutes
