Frozen Banana Popsicles

Fun frozen summer treats for kids.

Equipment

  • small microwave proof glass bowl
  • wax paper
  • 6 wooden sticks for bananas

Materials

  • 6 bananas
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips 
  • toppings such as M&Ms, and walnuts

Instructions

  • pour all of the chocolate chips in the bowl and melt them 
  • I microwaved the chocolate chips for 1 minute
  • peel and cut bananas in half
  • place a popsicle stick into the center of the cut bananas
    making frozen banana popsicle treats
  • dip them into the melted chocolate and thouroughly coat them with chocolate

  • place the chocolate covered bananas onto wax paper to set up and dry

  • *if the chocolate is having a tough time adhearing to the banana, use the silicone spatula to spread chocolate onto the banana before placing it onto the wax paper
  • while the chocolate is still warm, add the toppings 
  • take the bananas to the freezer and let bananas freeze for 2-3 hours

Notes

Storing - take the bananas out and wrap them in wax paper. Place the frozen bananas into a ziplock bag and store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
