Equipment

  • 1 blender
  • 1 grater

Materials

  • 1&1/2 cups lemonade -I like to use a powder mix like Country Time
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon zest from one fresh lemon
  • 2 lemons freshly squeezed
  • 3 cups ice

Instructions

  • Add everything to the blender and blend well until the ice is crushed and the mixture is frosty and easily poured - this should only take about 30 seconds

Notes

Storage

This drink is best when you drink this right away. Once it melts, the ice will dilute the drink

Tips and Tricks

  • roll your lemons on the counter to break up the pulp. It releases the juice for easy squeezing
  • make it easy by using premade lemonade and adding some natural flavors too
  • if you like it really sour, then omit the sugar. Add sugar little by little to get it to the sweetness you prefer
  • using lemon zest is the key to this recipe, but did you know that you can freeze lemon zest? While you are going to the trouble of zesting lemons, freeze some for later
  • don't forget to use hand juice when squeezing the lemons (I did not in the video below). It will catch the seeds for you for a seedless drink
