Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe

– green tomatoes – flour  – eggs – buttermilk – bread crumbs  – cornmeal – oil – salt and pepper

Ingredients

– Heat your oil – Pour your flour onto a plate or into a large mixing bowl – In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until whipped and frothy – Stir the buttermilk into the eggs

– Fill another bowl with garlic bread crumbs. cornmeal and salt  – One at a time, coat tomatoes on each side with flour – Dip the tomatoes into the egg, then into the cornmeal mixture

– Place tomatoes into the frying pan filled with oil – Turn them once the bottoms have turned golden – Drain on a paper towel – Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste
