Materials

  • 8-10 medium Granny Smith Apples - peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 5 Tbsp. softened unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Throw your apple slices into a large 9x13 baking dish
  • Combine the water, and lemon juice - pour it over the apples
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon and salt - and turn apples around to spread the seasonings throughout
  • Combine the sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg - this will form a dough-like mixture
  • Distribute the flour mixture over the apples by dropping pieces over the apples
  • Bake for about 45 minutes & Serve warm.
