Make this easy treasure chest cake for your pirate or Fortnite birthday party.

Materials

  • Hostess Twinkies
  • Graham Crackers
  • Frosting 
  • Candies to fill the treasure chests like mini M&Ms regular size M&Ms, pearl sprinkles, star wafers, candy fish

Additional Equipment:

  • Piping bag with a writing tip
  • small paper dessert plates
  • knife 

Instructions

  • How to make a Hostess Twinkies Treasure Chest Cake
  • place graham crackers in a zip-tight bag and crush them into a fine granule like sand
  • *you can use a rolling pin, or just crush with your hands
  • Sprinkle some crushed graham cracker onto each dessert plate

  • cut a Hostess Twinkie open and pull it open

  • Place several candies into the Twinkie to keep it open
  • Place more candies around the Twinkie - arrange the candies to look like the bottom of the ocean floor
  • Place the frosting into the piping bag and make 2 lines going down the lid of the treasure chest

  • Use frosting to help your place an M&M in the center of the 2 lines

Michael's Craft store has the pearl sprinkles and the star wafers 
The grocery store had the Blue Frosting (Funfetti) with fish candies on top 
A Party Store would have chocolate coins - which I think would be a fun addition
