- 2 cups warm water about 110-115 degrees F.
- ⅔ cups sugar
- 1&1/2 tbsp. yeast
- ¼ cup oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5-6 cups flour all-purpose
In a large bowl, with a whisk - Mix water, sugar and yeast until dissolved
Add salt and oil
Mix in the minimum flour amount and mix in the extra cup as needed - dough should still be a little sticky during the first rise
Knead until smooth and elastic
Cover dough with clear wrap and place in a warm place to rise for one hour or until doubled
Punch down. Divide in half
Roll into 24 rolls and place in greased baking pan (pan should be about 9x13)
Cover again and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled
Bake in a preheated 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes on the middle rack of the oven
Rolls should be golden on top and cooked through
Water temperature for yeast:
- water should not be boiling. It should be hot but you should be able to touch it without it being too hot for touching
