Equipment

  • wax paper
  • mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • mixing utensils

Materials

  • 12 oz. chow mein noodles
  • 10 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup Nutella spread
  • candy eyes
  • candy hearts or heart sprinkles

Instructions

  • melt chocolate chips in a microwave-proof glass bowl - microwave for 1 minute and stir. If needed, added 30 seconds more and stir until smooth
  • Add Nutella and mix in
  • Fold in chow mein noodles
  • Set out a sheet of wax paper on your work surface
  • Spoon out 2 dozen or more chocolate chow mein noodles and spread them apart on the wax paper
  • Add a heart sprinkle to the top of each one - these will be the antenna
  • Let those harden for a few minutes
  • Use the spoon again to spoon out more noodles - this time placing spoonfuls into mounds
  • While the chocolate is still melted, add the google eyes and antenna
  • Let the chocolate dry and harden

Notes

  • If the antenna falls off because the chocolate is too melted, then use a little Nutella to glue them into place
