- 3/4 cup of Nutella hazelnut spread
- Candies for decorating – candy eyes and heart sprinkles
- wax paper
- spoons
- mixing utensils
- mixing bowls – microwave proof glass bowl
Nutella and Chocolate Haystack Cookies {for Valentine’s Day}
Fun and delicious Valentine Monster Haystack Cookies
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 3 minutes
- Total Time: 13 minutes
- Yield: 1 dozen 1x
Ingredients
- 12 oz. chow mein noodles
- 10 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies
- 3/4 cup of Nutella spread
- candy eyes
- candy hearts or heart sprinkles
Other equipment:
- wax paper
- mixing bowls
- spoon
- mixing utensils
Instructions
- melt chocolate chips in a microwave-proof glass bowl – microwave for 1 minute and stir. If needed, added 30 seconds more and stir until smooth
- Add Nutella and mix in
- Fold in chow mein noodles
- Set out a sheet of wax paper on your work surface
- Spoon out 2 dozen or more chocolate chow mein noodles and spread them apart on the wax paper
- Add a heart sprinkle to the top of each one – these will be the antenna
- Let those harden for a few minutes
- Use the spoon again to spoon out more noodles – this time placing spoonfuls into mounds
- While the chocolate is still melted, add the google eyes and antenna
- Let the chocolate dry and harden

- If the antenna falls off because the chocolate is too melted, then use a little Nutella to glue them into place
