Maple and Orange Glazed Ham - Kid Friendly Things To Do

Maple and orange glazed ham recipe for the holidays.
Prep Time15 minutes
Yield: 1 ham
Author: Melissa

Materials

  • 1 Fully Cooked Bone-In Ham about 7-9 lbs.
  • 1 18 oz. jar of orange marmalade
  • ½ cup of maple syrup
  • cup of orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees
  • Place the ham, so the sliced portion is facing down with all of the skin exposed for glazing, in a roasting pan
  • Cover it, and bake using your guide on the packaging. The approximate time should be 1&1/2 to 2&1/4 hours
  • While that's cooking, gather your supplies for the glaze, and get a small saucepan out
  • Over medium heat, combine all of the ingredients for the glaze - marmalade, syrup, juice, and hot sauce
  • Heat until everything is well blended and smooth
  • Pour about 1 cup of the glaze into a bowl for glazing your ham, and keep the rest in the saucepan for now
  • When the ham has about 15 minutes to go, remove the ham from the oven, brush some of the glaze on the ham
  • Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and continue to bake for about 15 minutes - occasionally adding more glaze
  • Bring the preserves to a boil. Cook stirring constantly for about 1 minute
  • Serve your ham with the spiced sauce

Notes

  • Don't forget to cover the ham for baking
Store leftover ham in the refrigerator for 3-4 days
