- 1 30 oz. bag of shredded hash browns - thawed
- ½ cup of butter - unsalted - melted
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1 small - sweet white onion - chopped
- 1 pound of shredded cheddar cheese - divided
- 1 tsp. of table salt
- ½ tsp. of ground black pepper
- 1 cup of sour cream
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Grease your 8x10 inch baking dish
In a large mixing bowl, mix the onion, soup, salt, pepper, and most of the shredded cheese (reserving 1 cup of cheese for the topping)
Add the sour cream and mix in
Now, Pour the melted butter in
Add hashbrowns, and stir until combined
Spread the casserole mixture into your greased pan
Bake for 45 minutes
Sprinkle on the reserved cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes
