- 2 cups brewed coffee cooled
- 5 oz. instant vanilla pudding
- 3 cups cold milk
- 6 oz. cream cheese - softened
- pound cake cut and cubed or if you are lucky enough to find them in your local grocer's bakery - a package of ladyfingers - cut and cubed
- 13 oz. can of whipped topping
- 2 cups miniature chocolate chips
- ½ cup cocoa powder
In a large bowl, soak the pound cake, or ladyfingers in the brewed coffee
While that soaks, in a large bowl mix the pudding mix, and milk
Let that sit to a soft-serve - about 5 minutes
Fold the cream cheese into the pudding mixture
Layer the trifle dishes with:
Pound cake, or ladyfingers
pudding
whipped cream
chocolate chips
repeat
top off with a sprinkle of cocoa powder
Cover, and refrigerate for 8 hours, or overnight
The soaked pound cake will be soggier at the bottom of the bowl. Try to use as much as you can before you get to the really soggy pieces.
