Reese's Pumpkin Spider Halloween Treats

Equipment

Materials

  • 1 Reese's Peanut Butter pumpkins
  • 2 candy eyes
  • 4 pretzel twists mini
  • 1 oz. milk chocolate chips or brown chocolate melts

Instructions

  • break curved sections off of the pretzel twists - you'll need 8 sectons per spider
  • melt chocolate chips or chocolate melts
  • *to melt chocolate chips or melts, place it into a microwave-safe - glass bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir until smooth. If needed, microwave for 30 more seconds
  • using a toothpick, dip it into the melted chocolate
  • dab some melted chocolate onto the front of the pumpkin - nearest the stem
  • add some melted chocolate to the side of the pumpkin and attach 4 curved pretzel pieces
  • repeat on the other side of the pumpkin
  • let the chocolate dry and set up - before moving

Chocolate Melts vs. Milk Chocolate Chips
  • the chocolate melts will dry to nice hard chocolate that is easier to move around. Milk chocolate stays somewhat soft and the spider will be a little bit fragile, so be careful when moving it.

  • store chocolate spiders in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days
