Making Christmas Tree Brownies
Cute Christmas tree brownies snack for your Christmas party

- 1 box milk chocolate brownies baked in a parchment paper lined 9x13 inch pan and cooled off
- 1 16 oz. green frosting
- 1 4 oz. Christmas round sprinkles nonpareils
- 1 4 oz. Yellow star sprinkles
- 12 Candy Cane
pull the cooled-off brownies out of the pan
cut the crisp edges off
using a long serrated knife, cut the brownies into triangles - I was able to get 10 brownies out of my batch
break candy canes and insert a 2-inch long straight piece into the bottom of the triangle for the tree stem
add frosting to a baggie (snip a corner after frosting is inside) or piping bag with a narrow flat tip and make zig-zags going from the top of the tree to the bottom
shake sprinkles onto the green frosting
add a yellow star to the top

You can easily make these brownies a few days in advance. Store them covered in an airtight container at room temperature
Do I have to use a Piping Bag for this Recipe?
No. If you don't want to use a piping bag and tip, just snip a little corner out of a zip-tight bag to squeeze the frosting out of
Where can I find Green frosting?
Around the holidays, you can usually find a frosting can called Funfetti. I believe Pillsbury makes it and it's found in the baking aisles or in a holiday baking section.
If you can't find green frosting, then use green food coloring to color white frosting
Tips and Tricks:
- easily remove brownies from the pan by lining the pan with parchment paper
- I used a flat tip with a piping bag to decorate my Christmas tree brownies
- you don't have to have a flat tip, you can just use a baggie with the corner cut out to squeeze out green zig-zags
- use Christmas sprinkles or rainbow sprinkles to decorate the frosting
- a gold star on top is a cute addition
- break candy canes for tree stems
