Shamrock Handprint
A sentimental St. Patrick's Day craft

Equipment
- Scissors
- paint brush
Materials
- Large sheet of white cardstock 12x12 inch piece
- Light Green paper 12x12 inches. I used a scrapbooking piece with a design
- Green paper another shade for the stem
- Glue stick
- Green acrylic paint dark green
- Rainbow striped ribbon
Instructions
- Fold the green paper into four equal sections
- Fold it once more
- Cut a half-heart shape from the folded paper
- This should give you four green hearts
- Glue those green hearts onto the white cardstock in the shape of a four-leaf clover
- Cut a stem for the clover with the scraps of green paper and glue that to the shamrock.
- Gently holding onto your child's wrist with their palm facing up, paint their hand liberally with green paint
- Add a little extra in the folds of their fingers and the palm of their hand
- Guide their hand to the center of the shamrock, facing up, and gently but firmly press their hand onto the shamrock
- Press their little fingers, one by one, to transfer the paint
- Let that dry
- Add a border with the rainbow ribbon glued to the four sides of the paper
