Chocolate Pretzel Witch Broomsticks

Equipment

  • wax paper
  • 2 glass microwave proof bowls
  • 2 piping bags
  • Scissors

Materials

  • 50 mini pretzel sticks estimated amount
  • 6 oz. chocolate melts brown (estimated amount)
  • 2 oz. chocolate melts bright orange, yellow, green, or purple (estimated amount)

Instructions

  • Set out wax paper on your work surface
  • Break some pretzel sticks in half and use five smaller pretzel pieces to fan them out, forming the bristles of the broom.
  • Place a whole mini pretzel down for the broom handle.
  • Melt your brown chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave the chocoalte for one minute. Stir until smooth. If needed, microwave up to thirty seconds more. Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag for easy control.
  • Going in the direction of the bristles, pipe chocolate over the pretzel bristles and a little where the bristles meet the handle.
  • This will secure the bristles in place and create a chocolate-covered broomstick. Allow the chocolate to set completely.
  • Melt your bright colored chocolate melts and pipe a small band across the top of the bristles for a festive finishing touch.
  • Let the chocolate set completely before serving.
