fresh or frozen cranberries
Butter Cream Sauce:
½
cup
unsalted butter
1
cup
sugar
1
cup
heavy whipping cream

vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
In a large bowl, cream the butter, and sugar together
Add the milk, and mix in
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt
Gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture
Stir in the cranberries
Pour the batter into a greased 9x9" pan, and bake for about 40-45 minutes - or, until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean
Cool
While that is cooling, grab a saucepan for the butter cream
Melt the butter over medium/high heat
Stir in the sugar, and cream - bring to a boil, and stir often for about 10 minutes
Remove from heat, and stir in the vanilla extract
Pour over cake, and let cool
