Materials

  • Dark blue, black, or light blue construction paper (background)
  • Cozy Sleeping Bear Printable
  • Crayons or colored pencils
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • White tissue paper
  • White paint
  • Paintbrush

Instructions

  • Color and Cut Out the Bear – Let your child color the bear from the printable. Then cut it out carefully.
  • Create the Snowy Ground – Tear a piece of tissue paper to match the length of the construction paper and glue it along the bottom as snow.
  • Place the Bear – Glue the bear over the tissue paper on the middle section of the paper.
  • Add Snow Dots – Use white paint to create snow dots around the bear in the sky and on the ground.
  • Make a Cozy Den – Prepare a 9x13 inch piece of tissue paper, accordion-fold or gather it into a 3-inch wide strip. Curve it around the bear as its winter den and glue it in place
