DIY Fruit Fly Trap
How to make a simple fruit fly trap
Yield: 1 trap
Materials
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Dish SoapTape
- A Sheet of Paper
- An empty water bottle or empty cup
Instructions
- Pour some apple cider vinegar into the bottom of your glass. You only need about one inch of vinegar
- Add a couple of drops of dish soap and stir so the soap is distributed throughout
- Roll your paper into a funnel, and use the tape to help secure it
- Cut the roll down to make it only a few inches tall
- Place the funnel with the narrow tip down into the neck of the water bottle
- Seal the outside with tape.
- The flies will travel down to the vinegar and won't be able to figure out how to travel back up the cone to escape.
