Fake Snow Recipe for Kids (Conditioner Snow That’s Moldable & Reusable)
Yield: 1 fake conditioner snow
Author: Melissa Haines
Cost: $5
- ½ cup conditioner (start small)
- 1 lb. (Nearly) baking soda
- Plastic bin
- Buttons (for snowman details)
- Small twigs
Add Conditioner-Start with about half a cup of conditioner in a plastic bin.
Mix in Baking Soda-Gradually add baking soda while mixing until the texture becomes flaky yet moldable.
Adjust as Needed-Add more conditioner if it's too dry, or more baking soda if it's too wet.
Build a Snowman-Roll snow into balls like playdough. Flatten the tops slightly and stack to form a snowman.
Add Details-Press buttons and twigs into the snowman. Tip: If buttons won’t stick, press a little snow onto the back to “weld” them in place.
Note: My conditioner snow turned a light beige after a few days. I'm not sure if it was the type of conditioner I used - I'm not sure. If you are worried about that, try my Fake Snow made with Shaving Cream.
