Author: Melissa Haines
Cost: $5

Equipment

  • cookie cutters

Materials

  • 8 oz. crescent roll dough sheet

Decorating Ingredients Ideas

  • M&Ms
  • Sprinkles
  • Cloves Only for decoration. Kids will probably want to remove cloves before eating their shapes.
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Nutella
  • Fruit Jam

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Unroll the crescent roll sheet onto a parchment lined baking sheet
  • Let the kids make shapes with cookie cutters
  • Pull excess dough away. The kids can make other shapes with the extra dough using their hands and their imagination
  • If you want to add sprinkles, you can do that before baking. Anything with chocolate will melt in the oven, so hold off until the crescent has baked.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the dough has puffed up, is cooked through, and the edges turn golden brown.
  • Let the crescent shapes cool so they are warm to the touch.
  • While they are still warm, decorate them with anything you can think of, like M&Ms, Chocolate Candy, Sprinkles, Jam, Nutella, and more
  • Enjoy as a breakfast treat
