Materials
18pre-baked and cooled cupcakesfill cupcake 3/4 of the way full so the cake rises above the wrapper
16 oz. blue frosting
18 mini pretzel sticks
18Goldfish - I only used the original orange colored goldfish, but these would be cute with the rainbow version
8 oz. white frosting
Instructions
Frost the Cupcakes:
Spread blue frosting over the top of each cupcake to resemble water. You can use a silicone spreader for a smooth finish, or use a piping bag fitted with a large round or open star tip for a more decorative, textured look.
Add the Pretzel Fishing Pole:
Gently press a pretzel stick diagonally across the top of each cupcake to represent the fishing pole.
Place the Goldfish:
On the opposite side of the pretzel, add a Goldfish cracker to act as the “catch.” You can lay it flat on the frosting or press the head slightly into the blue icing so it looks like it’s peeking out of the water.
Pipe the Fishing Line:
Fill a piping bag fitted with a small round or writing tip with white frosting. Starting at the tip of the pretzel, pipe a line that loops playfully across the cupcake and ends at the Goldfish. The loopy effect makes it extra fun and whimsical!
