Equipment

  • candy squeeze bottle
  • wax paper
  • mason jars

Materials

  • 11 oz. chocolate melts white
  • 6 oz. chocoalte melts green
  • 24 Pretzel Rods
  • 24 Candy eyes 2 per mummy
  • 1 oz. Sliced Almonds

Instructions

  • Melt the candy melts - I like to put my melts into a microwave-proof glass mason jar and heat them for 1 minute, stir and then (if necessary) heat for 30 more seconds, stir until smooth
  • Use a towel or oven mitts to pick up the hot mason jars and transfer them to your work surface
  • Place wax paper on your work surface

Mummies

  • Dip the pretzels halfway into the white chocolate and spin it around until it is coated.
  • Pour the extra chocolate into a candy squeeze bottle
  • *you can also use a zip-tight bag and snip a corner to squeeze the chocolate out of
  • Add 2 candy eyes to the pretzels
  • Going in a back and forth zig-zag motion, squeeze more white chocolate onto the rod making it look like a mummy

Making Witch Fingers

  • Microwave green chocolate in a mason jar
  • Use a towel or oven mitts to pick up the hot mason jars and transfer them to your work surface
  • Dip the pretzels halfway into the white chocolate and spin it around until it is coated
  • Attach the almond nail to the tip of the chocolate-covered pretzel. Put a little extra pressure on the curved in so that the melted chocolate pushes up around it.
  • Let the chocolate dry completely
  • Use a sharp knife to make creases in the finger. Make a slicing motion across the top of the pretzel in two groups of three. One toward the finger and one a little further back behind where the knuckle would be.

Notes

Use a towel or oven mitts to pick up the hot mason jars and transfer them to your work surface
