Notes

Tips for Making This Cornucopia Craft
  • Use an 11×17 mounting surface. Glue your cornucopia and handprint fruits and vegetables onto an 11×17-inch sheet of construction paper to give everything plenty of room.
  • Pre-cut for preschoolers. Younger children can focus on arranging and gluing the pieces while an adult handles the cutting.
  • Trace on the back. Trace handprints with a pencil on the back of the construction paper to hide pencil marks.
  • Spread fingers wide. This makes the handprints easier to trace and decorate.
  • Make a family keepsake. Use handprints from different family members to create a special Thanksgiving memory.
  • Try the coloring version. The printable packet also includes a coloring page with grapes, corn, a pumpkin, and an apple to color, cut, and paste.
Safety Note: Always supervise young children when using scissors and small craft pieces.
