Color the rice by mixing 1 cup of uncooked white rice with 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and food coloring in a zip-top bag. Shake until evenly coated, then spread the rice onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let it dry completely before using.
Step 2
Print the free Minion goggles template and cut out the goggles and straps for the style of Minion you'd like to make.
Step 3
Fill the bottom of each mason jar with blue colored rice to create the Minion's overalls.
Step 4Add yellow colored rice until the jar is full, packing it gently to help keep the blue and yellow layers from mixing.
Step 5Screw the lid securely onto the mason jar.
Step 6Glue the printable strap around the jar, then glue the printable goggles in place. Finish by attaching the googly eye(s) over the printed goggles with a glue stick.
Step 7If you'd like to add hair, tape or glue a few short pieces of black cord to the top of the lid.
Step 8Use a black Sharpie to draw a smile, frown, or silly Minion expression. Your Minion Mason Jar Craft is ready to display!
