- Construction paper in Red, Orange Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple
- Scissors
Instructions
Step 1: Print the Pot of Gold
Print the pot of gold template from our free printable post.Cut out each pot.Step 2: Cut Rainbow Strips
Cut construction paper into strips about 1 inch wide and 6–8 inches long.You’ll need multiple strips in each rainbow color.Step 3: Build the Paper Chain
Take one strip and form it into a loop. Glue the ends together.Thread the next strip through the first loop and glue to form a chain.Continue alternating colors in rainbow order:Red → Orange → Yellow → Green → Blue → Purple - Do not glue the purple yet.Step 4: Attach the Pot of Gold
Loop the purple piece through the blue loop and the pot of gold and glue to secure.You can add one at the bottom — or one at both ends if you want it to hang centered.
