Cost: $10
- 1 sugar cone
- candies - such as mellowcreme Autumn harvest
- clear wrap
- twine or ribbon
Soften the Cone Tips: Dip the pointed end of each sugar cone into a cup of water for about 10 seconds. You just want the tip slightly damp so it softens without cracking.
Microwave and Shape: Place the damp cone in the microwave for about 10 seconds. The softened tip will now be flexible - carefully wrap it around the handle of a round wooden spoon to form the classic curved cornucopia shape. Hold it in place for about 10 seconds, then gently remove the spoon. Let the cone cool and firm up.
Fill with Candy: Once the cornucopias are set, fill each one with candy - the Brach’s Mellowcreme Harvest Mix is perfect for a colorful fall look.
Wrap and Tie: Cover the opening with a small piece of plastic wrap and pull it snug around the cone. Tie it off with twine or a festive ribbon to keep the candy secure and add a charming, rustic touch.
