Equipment

  • microwave
  • wooden spoon with a round handle or similar utenstil

Materials

  • 1 sugar cone
  • candies - such as mellowcreme Autumn harvest
  • clear wrap
  • twine or ribbon

Instructions

  • Soften the Cone Tips: Dip the pointed end of each sugar cone into a cup of water for about 10 seconds. You just want the tip slightly damp so it softens without cracking.
  • Microwave and Shape: Place the damp cone in the microwave for about 10 seconds. The softened tip will now be flexible - carefully wrap it around the handle of a round wooden spoon to form the classic curved cornucopia shape. Hold it in place for about 10 seconds, then gently remove the spoon. Let the cone cool and firm up.
  • Fill with Candy: Once the cornucopias are set, fill each one with candy - the Brach’s Mellowcreme Harvest Mix is perfect for a colorful fall look.
  • Wrap and Tie: Cover the opening with a small piece of plastic wrap and pull it snug around the cone. Tie it off with twine or a festive ribbon to keep the candy secure and add a charming, rustic touch.
