Thanksgiving Turkey Snack Bag Treat

A fun food snack for the kids at Thanksgiving celebrations.

Equipment

  • tacky glue something that grabs quick like 3-in-1 beacon glue
  • Scissors

Materials

  • Food-safe gloves (clear, disposable)
  • Froot Loops or any colorful cereal
  • Popped popcorn (cooled) My popcorn is salted
  • Orange pipe cleaner (cut in half)
  • Red pipe cleaner (cut in half)
  • Orange construction paper (for the beak)
  • Googly eyes

Instructions

  • Fill the feathers: Add Froot Loops into each of the glove’s fingers, filling them about halfway to form colorful turkey feathers
  • Add the body: Scoop popped popcorn into the main part of the glove until it’s full and fluffy.
  • Secure it: Twist the glove closed and secure it with half of an orange pipe cleaner.
  • Make the wattle: Wrap half of a red pipe cleaner around a pencil to form a curly wattle.
  • Create the beak: Cut a small triangle from orange paper and glue the wattle to the beak.
  • Attach the face: Glue the completed beak/wattle piece to the thumb of the glove. Then add googly eyes right above it.
  • Let dry and enjoy: Allow the glue to dry fully before packing or serving.
