Turkey Leg Rice Krispies Treats

Equipment

  • wax paper
  • cookingspray
  • 1 cup measuring cup
  • large bowl

Materials

  • 3 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 5&1/2 cups marshmallows or 10 oz. of mini marshamallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Treats chocolate or cocoa pebbles
  • 6 Scooby Snacks
  • 6 oz. chocolate melts white

Instructions

Making Bone

  • In a small bowl, melt white chocolate melts.
  • Dip Scooby Snacks into white chocolate melts, covering them about 3/4 of the way, and place them on wax paper to dry.
  • These will serve as the bone portion of your turkey leg.

Rice Krispies Portions

  • Melt 3 tbsp unsalted butter in a large pot on the lowest heat setting.
  • Gradually stir in 5 ½ cups marshmallows, constantly stirring to prevent the butter from burning. This ensures a smooth, pliable mixture.
  • Pour six cups of cereal into a large mixing bowl
  • Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the Rice Krispies (or chocolate Rice Krispies / chocolate Fruity Pebbles).
  • Gently fold the cereal into the marshmallow until fully coated.

Shape the Turkey Leg

  • Spray your hands lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Scoop out a small amount of the Rice Krispies mixture and wrap it around the top half of the Scooby Snack. leaving the white chocolate tip untouched.
  • Use a measuring sprayed with cooking spray cup to scoop the Rice Krispies mixture and mold them around the white chocolate “bones.”
  • Make sure to cover at least halfway down the Scooby Snack so the turkey leg isn’t top-heavy.

Let the Set

  • Allow the Rice Krispies turkey legs to cool and harden for 20–30 minutes.
