Equipment

  • Piping bag with decorative tip I used an open star tip to decorate my cupcakes

Materials

  • 12 Baked and cooled cupcakes White or yellow cupcakes are perfect for this Minion dessert
  • 6 Twinkies
  • 16 oz. White Frosting
  • Blue Food Coloring a few drops
  • Black Icing With writing tip
  • 12 or more Smarties Whites sorted out Chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  • Mix a few drops of blue food coloring with white frosting to make a blue shade that you like for your cupcakes
  • Spoon the blue frosting into a piping bag fitted with an open star tip
  • Pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes. Start with one wide circle and make smaller circles until the center is filled in
  • Cut Twinkies in half
  • Use the black icing to make circles where you think the eye or eyes should go
  • Push a white Smartie into the center of the black circle so the black frosting oozes out and around the Smartie, creating a round border
  • Use the black icing to draw goggle straps
  • Place your Twinkin Minion onto the frosted cupcake
  • Insert chocolate sprinkles for hair
