Witch Cauldron Craft
Make a bubbling witch cauldron craft with a printable template, painted potion bubbles, a pom-pom spider, and a miniature raffia broom.

Materials
- 1 cauldron printable
- 1 sheet white cardstock
- Green washable paint
- White washable paint
- 1 empty cardboard toilet paper roll
- 1 black pom-pom
- 2 small googly eyes
- Brown construction paper
- Raffia
- Orange-and-white string, cording, ribbon, or yarn
- Black marker
- Wax paper
- Glue stick
- Tacky glue or liquid school glue
Instructions
- Print and cut out the cauldron template.
- Glue it near the bottom of a sheet of white cardstock, leaving room above it for the potion bubbles.
- Mix green and white washable paint on a piece of wax paper to create a light lime-green color.
- Dip one end of an empty cardboard toilet paper roll into the paint.
- Stamp circles above the cauldron, overlapping some of them to create bubbling potion.
- Glue two googly eyes onto a black pom-pom, and then glue the spider near the upper corner of the cardstock.
- Use a black marker to draw a web line above the spider and four legs on each side of its body.
- Cut a long, narrow broom handle from brown construction paper.
- Gather a small bundle of raffia, tie it near one end, and trim the ends if needed.
- Glue the raffia to the bottom of the paper broom handle.
- Attach the finished broom beside the cauldron.
- Tie orange-and-white string, cording, ribbon, or yarn into a small bow and glue it across the cauldron’s rim.
- Leave the craft lying flat until the paint and glue have dried completely.
Notes
- An adult can prepare the spider, broom, and bow for younger children.
- Yarn can replace the raffia or decorative cording.
- Closely supervise young children when using googly eyes and other small pieces.
- A glue stick works well for the printable and construction paper.
- Use tacky glue for the pom-pom, googly eyes, and raffia. Liquid school glue can be used, but it may need to dry overnight.
