- 8 medium apples that have been cored peeled and sliced up
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter melted
- 2 cups granola cereal your favorite flavor
Serving Suggestions
- Serve with more granola
- Heavy cream the best Half and Half, milk, or yogurt
- walnuts or any other type of nut
Pour the granola into the bottom of the foil pan
Mix the apples and lemon juice
Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to the apples - mix in
Pour apples over the granola
cook with the lid on and the temperature on high for 2-4 hours
Take the lid off and fold the granola from the bottom of the pan into the apples
Serve in bowls topped with heavy cream, yogurt, or milk plus more granola (if you want a crunch) and walnuts
If you want a bread-like texture from your granola, pour 1-2 cups of apple juice into the pan. It will fluff the granola up quite nicely into a bread pudding-like texture.
Adjusting the time period to cook longer - you can cook on low for 6-8 hours
