- 1&1/2 cups ketchup
- ½ cup light brown sugar packed - you can also use dark
- 3 tbsp. Rice Wine Vinegar
- 3 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1&1/2 tsp. paprika - I used Spanish. It has a little smoke flavor, but you can use regular paprika
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. mustard powder
- ¾ tsp. ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp. celery seed
- ½ cup water
Using a large saucepan, add everything into the pan
Set the heat to med/high and get it boiling while stirring
Lower the heat, and simmer until it thickens up a bit
That's it! Let it cool off a bit before you baste your meat
When stored properly - covered and refrigerated - your sauce should last up to 2 weeks
