Now that we have a little taste of warm weather, I am firing up the grill. What am I making? Anything with barbeque sauce! 

 

I love homemade barbeque sauce. It’s so simple to make, y’all.  You probably have the ingredients right in your kitchen!

Here’s the recipe:

I like a pool of sauce to dip my chicken into! What can I say…I’m saucy!

One Pot Basic Barbeque Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1&1/2 cups of ketchup
  • 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar – dark is fine, too
  • 3 Tblsp. Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 3 Tblsp. of Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1&1/2 tsp. of paprika – I used Spanish, it has a little smoke flavor
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. of mustard powder
  • 3/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 cup of water

Instructions

  1. Using a large saucepan, add everything into the pan
  2. Set the head to med/high and get it boiling while stirring
  3. Lower the heat, and simmer until it thickens up a bit
  4. That’s it! Let it cool off a bit before you baste your meat
