- 5-6 large jalapeno peppers
- 6-8 oz. softened cream cheese - I used 1/3 less fat
- 3 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 5-6 bacon strips
Just grab a bowl - throw in the cream cheese, minced garlic and add the Worcestershire sauce
Mix everything together
Hallow the peppers out, getting rid of the seeds and veins (these two areas contain the most heat from the hot pepper)
Stuff the peppers - sometimes it helps to cut a slit down the side of the pepper so you know you are stuffing it full of cheese
Wrap with bacon, secure with a toothpicks
Grilling Method
Place some foil on the grill, and cook the wrapped peppers for about 15-20 minutes over indirect, med-high heat, or until the bacon is cooked through and crispy
Oven Method
Set your oven to 400 degrees
Line a baking sheet with non-stick foil (or spray foil with cooking spray)
Place bacon wrapped poppers onto the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until bacon is brown and crispy
Using Pre-Cooked Bacon:
- If you use pre-cooked bacon, you will want to lower the temperature to 350 degrees and cut your baking time in half. Check on the poppers often to be sure the bacon does not over-cook
