Basic White Sauce Recipe {Easy and Delicious}

Materials

  • 3 tbsp. butter unsalted
  • 3 tbsp. flour all-purpose
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Parmesan Cheese 
  • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • Ground Pepper
  • Green onion slices 

Instructions

  • Over medium heatmelt the butter
  • Add flour and wisk until smooth
  • Add milk and seasoning
  • Whisk again until the flour is fully dissolved into the milk
  • Continue to stir ocassionaly until thick

Notes

  • Serve as a dipping sauce with bread or over your favorite pasta
  • I even like to offer red and white sauce with ravioli. It's delicious when mixed together 
  • Delicious over shrimp and pasta or chicken and pasta
