Delicious Lattice Top Chicken Casserole Recipe

- 1 cup milk 2% or whole
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- ½ tsp. seasoned salt
- 2 cups chicken breast 1-2 breasts - cubed
- 1 16 oz. frozen veggies - thawed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Mexican style divided
- 1 cup french fried onions - divided
- 1 8 oz. refrigerated crescent roll dough tibe
Combine milk, salt, THAWED veggies, 1/2 cup of the cheese, chicken, and 1/2 of the onions
Pour the mixture into a greased 2&1/2 quart casserole dish
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes
Take out of the oven and sprinkle on the rest of the cheese and the onions
Then take your crescent roll dough
Unwrap and separate into 2 long rectangles - push the broken pieces together
Cut that into long strips ( about 1/2 wide) and start building your lattice - weaving the dough
Pop back into the oven for another 15 minutes, or until dough is cooked through
- If you have any leftovers, cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350 degrees with aluminum foil covering the pan for about 15-20 minutes - or until heated through - or on individual plates in the microwave
- My casserole dish is about 10 in. by 8 in.
