Delicious Lattice Top Chicken Casserole Recipe

A delicious and easy Chicken Pot Pie recipe.

Materials

  • 1 cup milk 2% or whole
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • ½ tsp. seasoned salt
  • 2 cups chicken breast 1-2 breasts - cubed
  • 1 16 oz. frozen veggies - thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Mexican style divided
  • 1 cup french fried onions - divided
  • 1 8 oz. refrigerated crescent roll dough tibe

Instructions

  • Combine milk, salt, THAWED veggies, 1/2 cup of the cheese, chicken, and 1/2 of the onions
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 2&1/2 quart casserole dish
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes
  • Take out of the oven and sprinkle on the rest of the cheese and the onions
  • Then take your crescent roll dough
  • Unwrap and separate into 2 long rectangles - push the broken pieces together
  • Cut that into long strips ( about 1/2 wide) and start building your lattice - weaving the dough
  • Pop back into the oven for another 15 minutes, or until dough is cooked through

Notes

  • If you have any leftovers, cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350 degrees with aluminum foil covering the pan for about 15-20 minutes - or until heated through - or on individual plates in the microwave
  • My casserole dish is about 10 in. by 8 in.
