Easy and Delicious Sonic Ocean Water Recipe {Copycat}

- 3 Tbsp. of water
- 3 Tbsp. of granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. of coconut extract
- 24 oz. Sprite
- blue food coloring - liquid
Add water and heat up in a small saucepan over medium-high heat
Add sugar and stir until dissolved and the water has thickened up into a thin syrup consistency
In a small pitcher, combine the sprite, coconut extract, syrup that you've made, and a couple of drops of food coloring
stir to mix
pour over 2 large glasses of ice and enjoy

2/3 cup of water
2/3 cup of sugar
1 (2 liters) of Sprite
2 Tbsp. of coconut extract
blue food coloring - enough to get the shade of blue you like
Make Ahead and Storage:
Can I make Sonic's Ocean Water in advance?
Because there is carbonation in this drink, this drink is best served the day of. Mix the drink well, and serve over ice. You can store it in the refrigerator to get cold and then gently stir it again before serving.
Leftovers: Store in the refrigerator and stir again before serving over ice, or freeze leftovers for up to 2 months and make a slushy. Be aware that the carbonation will go down with time, so you won't have a fizzy drink after it is stored for too long
Thawing frozen Ocean Water: Let thaw at room temperature. You can also place it in the blender and blend it to make a slushy
Tips and Tricks:
- make this drink even more fun and kid-friendly by adding Swedish Fish to the top of your drinks
- pour over glasses that are full of ice
- add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the drink for a fun summer float
- you can double the recipe for more drinks
